About Me
Hello, my name is Jacob Franklin, and I am a senior at Taylorville High School. I have always lived in Taylorville and attended Visionway Christian School through eighth grade. Since my freshman year, I have been at THS, and I have always stayed busy. I have played baseball all four years of high school, and am playing soccer this year. I am a part of the THS Fellowship of Christian Athletes, National Honor Society, and now the CEO program. I am also attending LLCC through the THS College Now program. I like to help out around my church when I can, whether it is by helping with clothes drives or coaching the Visionway junior high basketball team. If none of those things are taking up my time, I will most likely be golfing with my friends. My current plan is to attend Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville for Civil Engineering next year, but it is possible that plan may change. I first heard of CEO from older students, and had discussed doing it with my friends as well. My goal in joining this program is to get some experience being around business because I know it will be helpful in whatever I do later in life.

J. Frank’s Mulch and More is a service-based business dedicated to enhancing residential and commercial landscapes by selling and installing high-quality mulch and sod. After struggling to decide on a business idea, I found unexpected motivation when Taylorville experienced a heavy snowfall. Helping clear driveways and seeing the immediate impact of my work in the community inspired me to pursue a service that improves outdoor spaces year-round. My business is directed toward homeowners and property managers looking to elevate their yards with mulch that complements their landscaping style. I offer a natural mulch, which will be healthy for plants. In addition to mulch installation, I will provide sod sales and installation for those struggling to grow healthy, green grass. Whether customers want to refresh their landscaping, control weeds, or create a more polished look, they will receive a quality product and the best service. I hope to provide a product that will be sought after and will offer something that is truly helpful to my customers.
