About Me

Hello my name is Laura Wayman and I am a senior at Taylorville High School. I was born and raised in Taylorville on a corn and soybean farm. Being raised on a family farm has made me a driven, enthusiastic, diligent, careful, and creative person. I love to stay active and keep myself occupied, so I don't usually turn down opportunities that come my way. I am the vice president of the Tommy Photo Club at the high school, co-reporter of the Taylorville FFA chapter, the captain of the THS Golf team, member of the Lakeshore Women's Golf League,  member of the THS softball team, and a member of St. Mary’s youth group and will soon be buying and showing my own livestock. Next year I will attend Lakeland college for two years and transfer to Western Illinois for my bachelors in ag business with a minor in agronomy. Agriculture is a very deep passion of mine because I believe the future of the world is Ag. I am excited to be apart of Christian County CEO and all the opportunities it has to offer to help me kickstart not only my business, but my future plans as well.
