Sydnie Vocks

About Me

Hello! My name is Sydnie Vocks, and I am a senior at Taylorville High School. I reside in Taylorville and am an active member of our community. My involvement spans a variety of activities, including cross country, Blue Ribbon 4-H, the Taylorville FFA Chapter, track, Tommy Photo, Unified Tornados, LLCC College Now, and Purple Reign. I also dedicate much of my free time to assisting with my family’s Southdown sheep operation, focusing on our show animals. My deep passion for agriculture fuels my advocacy for its importance, which I believe is crucial for my generation's future and those to come. My goals include attending Lake Land Community College to earn a pre-veterinary transfer associate degree, followed by a bachelor's in Animal Science at a four-year institution, and ultimately pursuing veterinary school to become a livestock veterinarian. I also envision maintaining my own show stock business, raising quality show lambs and cattle. I joined the CEO program to gain essential skills for success, learn about entrepreneurship, and understand what it takes to run my veterinary practice. I am extremely grateful for this opportunity and excited to see where it leads me and my classmates!
